Commercial IT Senior Manager


We are looking for Commercial IT Senior Manager and strong team member who will work in SunExpress.


  • The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years in travel industry and technology sector along with the ability to work effectively in a multi-sided and a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, Business Administration or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • Proven track record managing digital products in a complex technical environment
  • Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring teams while leveraging Agile methodologies, with strong focus on continuous improvement and developing self-organizing teams
  • Result driven, with excellent customer relationship, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership skills, team-focused with high energy and a positive attitude
  • Ability to think strategically and develop tactical methods to achieve objectives and goals
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with customers and external groups, as well as working in a collaborative environment with geographically dispersed resources
  • Intellectually curious; pro-actively identifies challenges and opportunities, curiosity includes being up to date with both current and planned or future state technologies and Customer trends
  • Ability to leverage situational leadership and strengths to develop and coach team members
  • Strong comprehension skills for understanding customer needs, elicitation of business requirements , developing and applying solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with a history of building strong cross-functional relationships

  • Fluent English required, German desirable

Job Description


  • Having an entrepreneurial mindset to develop solutions for revenue generation and cost saving,
  • Defining the customer technology strategy and vision for driving customer-centric product roadmaps,
  • Establishing strong relationship with all stakeholders and actively involving in new projects implementation,
  • Analyzing industry trends, business goals and customers & employee needs to drive product improvements and innovation around emerging business and market needs (leading capabilities and industry trends) and using the right ones in our DX journey to reach to our ambitions
  • Being responsible for the airline's distribution platforms including the reservation system and the e-commerce platforms such as the website and mobile applications
  • Leading the distribution and e-commerce team providing guidance and expertise as well as ensuring that the various projects are prioritized and delivered within deadlines.
  • Managing/overseeing all aspects of multiple simultaneous fast-paced assigned projects with distributed teams
  • Ensuring that product priorities and outcomes are understood, aligned across all relevant business units and agreed between technology and business/product teams
  • Building an application portfolio that enables the company’s business strategy and translating the business strategy into business capability map and using the capability model to design the portfolio.
  • Writing and involving in RFP processes for technology solution implementations,
  • Preparing and managing Commercial IT Solutions’ CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
  • Building strong relationships with vendors to carry out product developments, managing Steer Co's and holding alignment meetings and ultimately delivering an excellent Vendor Management capabilities to best meet the business units' demands,
  • Managing solution development Managed Services teams for product development,
  • Building a data-driven team to take informed decisions
  • Leveraging knowledge of situational and strengths-based leadership by providing continuous coaching to improve team performance and holding team accountable
