This data protection notice has been prepared by GÜNEŞ EKSPRES HAVACILIK A.Ş. (“SunExpress”) as the data controller within the scope of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), to inform and explain the processing of personal data related to our cockpit employee candidates.

The personal data that is detailed below and belongs to the data subject who makes an application to SunExpress, in order to become Cockpit employee (First Officer/Captain) within SunExpress, by filling in the online Application Form through SunExpress Website, is processed by SunExpress within the scope of below indicated purposes;

In order to be able to contact the applicants: name-surname, address, phone number, e-mail address.

For the Evaluation of Job Applications: name-surname, position applied, date of application, citizenship and native language, date and place of birth, information about smoking, information about the driver's license, information about whether he/she has a tattoo that will appear while wearing the uniform, height, and weight information, ATPL test results, date of assignment to captain title, flight license type and license information, information about flight times, passport information, flight health certificate expiry date, information regarding absence of any restriction due to health problem, information on education and training background, foreign language proficiency, foreign language exam results, work experiences, aircraft types and hours of which he/she has performed flight, information regarding the airline companies he worked for and his/her title at these airline companies, total flight experience, professional courses attended, certificates received.

For the Planning of Work and Residence Permit Processes of Foreign Candidate and His/Her Family: name-surname, citizenship, marital status, spouse's name-surname, and citizenship, children's name-surname and age.

In Case of Failure to Contact Candidates that are called for interview, information of kinspersons / Relatives that can be contacted: name/surname, address, telephone number of the kinspersons/relatives.

The above-mentioned personal data is processed automatically based on the legal liability in Article 5 of the Law stating that; "Processing of personal data of the parties of a contract is necessary, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract" and "Processing of data is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by the data controller, provided that this processing shall not violate the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject."

In order to be able to get a permit for entrance to the free zone where the simulator test will be made, to subject you to foreign language proficiency exam, to provide you flight tickets, hotel accommodation, transportation/transfer services when it is necessary, the above declared personal data, name, surname, birth date, passport number, ID number, mobile phone number, certificates of your foreign language will be shared with our business partners that provide us these services. ( with simulator training company, the company that will make foreign language level test, hotels and transportation company). Apart from these, personal data in this context is not transferred to any institution or organization except judicial and administrative authorities that are required to be shared upon request in accordance with the legislation.

The mentioned personal data may be transferred domestically in accordance with the conditions specified in Article 8(2) of the Turkish Data Protection Law (KVKK) and internationally in accordance with the conditions specified in Article 9 of the KVKK.

Such transfer may include the transfer of personal data to third countries or international organizations. If the transfer is made from Turkey to third countries, it will be carried out to ensure the security of your personal data under the following conditions: the relevant country must be recognized as a safe country by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board, or one of the appropriate safeguards listed in the Law No. 6698 (such as standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, or undertakings) must be in place. If these conditions cannot be met and in exceptional circumstances, the transfer will be carried out if the requirements specified in Article 16 of the REGULATION ON THE PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES REGARDING THE TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA ABROAD are fulfilled, or if there is a specific provision in other laws concerning the transfer of personal data abroad.
